The board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already announced the squad for the series, marking the beginning of India’s new Test Championship cycle under the Test Captain.Rishabh Pant has been named Vice Captain for the series of five matches, commencing on June 20.

However, a recent retirement has presented a significant challenge for India as they prepare to face England. England batter olly Pope has offered his viewpoint on the young Indian team and Virat Kohli’s readiness for the England Test.
