Zug has secured the services of veteran Slovakian forward Tomas Tatar, 34, on a two-year contract. The move aims to reinforce the team’s center position following their quarterfinal elimination.
The Central Swiss club officially announced the signing,bringing Tatar back to europe after 16 seasons in North America,including 14 in the NHL. Tatar is coming off a challenging 2024/25 season with the NEW JERSEY DEVILS, were he tallied 17 points in 81 games alongside stars NICO HISCHIER, TIMO MEIER, adn JONAS SIEGENTHALER.
Throughout his NHL career, TATAR has played nearly 1,000 games with teams including SEATTLE, COLORADO, MONTREAL, LAS VEGAS, and DETROIT, amassing 509 points. “He has evolved in the wing in recent seasons, but we will play it in the center,” said General Manager RETO KLÄY.
