Ohio Crash: Teen Driver Critical Condition

ZANESVILLE – Dylan Sotherden remains in critical, life-threatening condition at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, according to officials.

On Oct. 8, the 16-year-old Cumberland native and Mid East (John Glenn) student was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Ohio 146. He was transported by Air Evac to the hospital.

Lt. Kristi Mistovich of the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Zanesville post confirmed Dylan’s condition with the Times Recorder around 2 p.m. Oct. 9. The Grant Medical Center also confirmed Dylan is a patient in the hospital and corroborated his condition.

The crash occured around 7:45 a.m. on Ohio 146, about one mile east of the Millers Lane interstation. The patrol report stated Sotherden’s truck veered left of center and hit an ODOT dump truck driven by William Green, 45, of Philo. Green was transported to Genesis Hospital with minor injuries, after his vehicle went off the road and overturned.
