For the first time ever, the Tambov Regional Museum of Local Lore will resonate with the majestic sounds of live organ music. this groundbreaking event, scheduled for this evening, is the result of a collaborative effort between the S.V. rachmaninov Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Tambov Drama Theater.
From Factory Floor to Museum Hall: Transporting a Musical Treasure
The organ itself, usually housed in the concert hall of the Pigment plant, is being specially transported to the museum in a protective wooden crate. This logistical feat ensures the instrument’s safety and allows the public to experience its powerful sound in an entirely new setting.
Maria Filippova: A Rising Star Takes Center Stage
The performance will feature Maria Filippova, a highly accomplished musician with a background steeped in classical training. A graduate of the Kazan State Conservatory, Filippova has garnered recognition as a laureate of numerous All-russian and international competitions for organ, piano, and vocal performance. Sence 2018,she has been actively involved in concert performances,and she joined the S.V. Rachmaninov Academic Symphony Orchestra as an artist in January 2025.
