A direct blow to the heart of Roberto Occhiuto’s narrative. The president of the region and candidate of the center -right has released a survey this morning that would see him in the lead in the election race, but for Pasquale Tridico, challenger of the progressive field, the issued numbers smell of manipulation.
“That survey – underlined Tridico – would have been made on August 22, when I was not even candidate: my candidacy was made official only the next day, the 23rd, with the signing of the entire progressive field”. A detail that undermines the basis of the detection itself at the base.
But there is more. “The company that took care of that survey, the EMG – he added – has received 50,000 euros in the last year from the Calabria Region led by Occhiuto for the ‘Custody service on surveys on issues of interest of the administration’, as per decrees 9332 and 11125 both of July 2024. All normal?”.
The accusation is clear: public money spent to feed a communicative apparatus in favor of the governor. And the conclusion is equally sharp: “The right has been afraid. For days I have been dedicating me first pages, interviews, declarations, posts on social media. We are used to their lies and falsity. Everything are being inventing, and do you know why? Because they know that we will win”.
A lunge that transforms the survey celebrated by Occhiuto in a political case, opening questions about transparency and on the exploitation of institutional communication in the middle of the election campaign.
