The actor recently enjoyed his first night aboard his new yacht. “My cabin is not big, but spacious enough, and what a blissful mattress,” he shines. “For the name I found my inspiration in Greek mythology,” he says. “Tethys was a goddess who, together with her husband Oceanus, ruled all the water on earth before there was Poseidon. A beautiful story and very appropriate.” The yacht, named “Tethys,” offers considerable space and comfort for a sailboat.

Though the actor announced less than a month ago that the “Tethys” wouldn’t be ready until mid-November, it is currently featured at the ‘Hiswa in Water‘ boat show in Lelystad, where visitors can view numerous yachts, motor boats, and jet skis.

However, according to Tom, the “Tethys” is not yet complete. “The Tethys was already the water for this exhibition,but she is not nearly ready yet,I estimate at least six weeks,” says Tom. “Everything still needs to be done. The confirmation for the dinghy is still missing, the system to open and close the shutters still have to install, now I am with a rope. Also technically there are still several elements, I have a whole list.”

Future Plans and Reflections

If everything proceeds as planned, the actor intends to capture “notable” footage for his upcoming programme next summer, following in the footsteps of Belgian explorer Alain de Gerlache.

The actor is also addressing past issues. In the program Monastery, he openly discussed a car accident from the previous year that he caused while under the influence of alcohol.
