Nothing Launches Unique Phone 2A Plus Community Edition: Glow-in-the-Dark Design and Customizable himself

This version is the device’s first "major pilot to co-create hardware," resulting from a community-driven contest that saw over 900 entries customizing various aspects of the phone.

Glow-in-the-Dark Design

The device features three light strips surrounding its rear cameras and a back panel tinted with a green phosphorescent material. Inspired by Community, Designed by Top Artists

The concept for the Phone 2A Plus Community Edition’s updated design was from Astrid Vanhuyse and Kenta Akasaki, and brought to life by Nothing’s team under the leadership of Adam Bates and Lucy Birley. The phone’s functionality remains unchanged, but the new glow-in-the-dark finish and packaging are certainly a fresh upgrade.

In addition to its design, the Phone 2A Plus Community Edition includes a collection of new matching wallpapers called the "Connected Collection," created by Andrés Mateos and Nothing’s software designers using a mix of design tools and AI.

The phone’s unique look is complemented by its packaging, designed by Ian Henry Simmonds. The packaging features reflective elements and a macro crop of the phone itself, further emphasizing its distinct design.
