Hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, this award is a government award given to individuals and organizations that have contributed to establishing the basis for innovation and growth in the domestic software (SW) industry. CEO Chae was recognized for his significant contribution to strengthening the competitiveness of the domestic SW industry by leading the commercialization of AI model optimization technology and increasing the efficiency and economic feasibility of AI use.

Netspresso, an AI model optimization platform independently developed by Nota, is a platform that efficiently compresses, optimizes, and distributes AI models in a wide range of hardware environments, from AI semiconductors to Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It reduces the model size by up to 90% or more while maintaining the same level of accuracy as existing models, significantly reducing development and operation burden.

Based on this, we are expanding cooperation with global semiconductor companies such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and Sony. In addition, the generative AI-based intelligent video control solution ‘Nota Vision Agent (NVA)’ is being supplied to various industrial sites such as construction, manufacturing, transportation, and retail, expanding the scope of practical use of on-device AI (executing AI on the device itself).

Nota is also actively participating in the national AI transition. It has been selected as an elite company for the government-led AI national representative (independent AI foundation model development) project, contributing to securing national AI technology sovereignty. The M.AX (Manufacturing Artificial Intelligence Transformation) Alliance, led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is participating as a company that supplies AI optimization technology in the home appliance and autonomous driving fields.

We are continuously pursuing cooperation with domestic semiconductor companies and are working to implement AI models that can be applied to various industrial fields such as vehicles and robots and to strengthen the competitiveness of AI based on domestic semiconductors.

Chae Myeong-soo, CEO of Nota, said, “This award is a valuable achievement created by the members and partners who have trusted Nota’s technology and have been with us. Going forward, we will establish ourselves as a company that has contributed the most to the universalization of AI by realizing the vision of ‘AI Everywhere’ that enables AI to run on all devices.”
