NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The North Charleston Police Department arrested a man on Thursday afternoon after a reported bank robbery.
Bruce Eric Washington, 67, was arrested and charged with entering a bank with the intent to steal, according to police.
Officers were dispatched just after 2 p.m. to South Carolina State Credit Union for a reported robbery.
When officers arrived, employees identified Washington as the suspect and said he had robbed the bank.
Washington was found minutes after the robbery, and police found an undetermined amount of money in his backpack.
Washington was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center.
