by Archynetys Health Desk

Nocera Inferiore. They would have prescribed and administered an antibiotic therapy based on Gladizim (medicine used to treat serious bacterial infections) “even in the presence of the anamnestic relief reported in the medical record of iron allergy”.

The patient, following the injection that served to take care of an infection, went to anaphylactic shock, a circumstance deemed concausal of the death. Two doctors and one nurse of a Roccapiemonte rehabilitation center go to trial for whisk murder in competition. For all three forced charges after two rejected requests for storage. The story concerns the death of a 75 -year -old from Castel San Giorgio, Ba, who died in October 2018.

The gup ordered the trial for the defendants through the forced imputation after the defense had opposed twice to the storage requested by the Nocerina Prosecutor’s Office. The defense, in changing the archive, obtained new investigations.

Among the requests, there was to identify those who took the elderly care, identified its diagnosis and antibiotic therapy. From those new investigations, the investigating judge identified responsibility in the three current defendants (others were acquitted). According to the new insights, in fact, the man was caught by illness “immediately after administration”. By reason of the presence of that allergy, the judge explained that he would serve “greater prudence in identifying the antibiotic to be administered”. Among the defendants, the manager of the private clinic, a neurologist doctor – prescriber of the drug – and a nurse, who practiced the injection. The patient, after the injection that served to cure an infection, went to anaphylactic shock.

The autopsy attributed death to natural causes, without excluding, however, that that injection practiced on 12 October seven years ago could have determined a minimal “concate in the determinism of the events that caused its death”. For the investigating judge there were precise responsibilities, so much so that they arrange the forced charge for the three. The same magistrate explained that “greater prudence in identifying the antibiotic to be administered” would be served.

The family of man Sporsi denounces to understand the causes of the death and after two requests for storage rejected following the opposition of the lawyer of the deceased family, the forced charge was established with documents returned to the Prosecutor and new request made to the GUP by the owner of the investigation.
