STEVENS POINT − The Smile Club dental clinic in Stevens Point has a new operator. Noble Community Clinics has taken over operations of the clinic, which serves children and families, according to a community announcement.
The Smile Club will continue to operate as a one-chair dental clinic at the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County’s Berard Center. Noble also is accepting patients at its new community clinic at 2501 Main St., Stevens Point, which has 21 dental operatories and pediatric rooms.
Noble accepts all patients, regardless of insurance status or income.
Smile Club provides dental care for over 200 children annually
The Smile Club was established in 2014 through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Portage County, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Portage County Health & Human Services, and local dental providers. Since then, local dentists have volunteered their time, and the Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation has provided ongoing grant support.
In 2022, the foundation assumed clinic operations, employing the dental hygienist and coordinating care referrals. Noble, previously known as Family Health LaClinica, has been a longtime partner, treating more than 40 Smile Club patients annually over the past four years. The clinic now provides preventive dental care for more than 200 children each year.
“This partnership with Noble Community Clinics marks an exciting new phase for the Smile Club,” Danielle Belsky, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club, said in the announcement. “Together, we are ensuring that children and families continue to have access to high-quality, affordable oral health care right here in Portage County.”
