Twenty -two names present in this year’s list, ten active in the United States, three in France, two in Germany, Japan and Switzerland and one each in Canada, China and the Netherlands. Retracing the previous predictions, 83 awarded on 450 have been spot on since 2002, some, however, even years after their quote. Among these, the Swiss physicists Didier Queloz and Michel Mayor, awarded the prize in 2019, six years after their appearance on the list.
