“I am honored to be accepted to represent Bucknell and the EIWA within the NCAA Oversight Committee, I have a deep passion about the sport of wrestling, and I am excited to be able to have a voice in the future of the sport,” said Mulvaney.
The Oversight Committee handles the following items: Selection criteria; championship bid specs and discussion regarding ranking softwares or championship softwares; adjustments to manuals; adjustments to policies (credentials, team tickets, team seating, photographer/videographer, etc.); championship experience enhancements; selection of coordinator of officials and other key personnel; changes to misconduct penalties or fine structure; approval of automatic qualifiers and related waivers; competition format (bracket size, seeding/pairing principles, and bracketing principles); selection of predetermined sites; date formulas; travel party, bench size, and squad size.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Noah to be nominated and accepted on this prestigious committee,” said Bucknell head coach Dan Wirnsberger. “He will have a voice from the student-athlete perspective that can improve the sport and make it better.”
Mulvaney and the Bison open the season this Sunday at the Navy Classic.
