Light No Fire to Utilize No Man’s Sky Tech for Massive World
Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky is enjoying renewed popularity thanks to teh Voyagers update. The studio is also developing a new game, Light No Fire.
On September 7th, No Man’s Sky had over 110,000 concurrent players on Steam, demonstrating the game’s continued popularity and the impact of ongoing developer support.
Light No Fire aims to be even more enterprising than No Man’s Sky. In a recent interview with PC Gamer, developers stated that The game world is actually the size of our planet, comparable to the explorable area in MS Flight Simulator.
Technology developed for recent No Man’s Sky updates will be integrated into Light No Fire. Players will explore the planet’s surface and oceans, traversing the seas on board large ships (planted with crews from players).
Light No Fire will feature a system for building such sea ships by hand, using technology implemented in the Voyagers update in No Man ‘Sky.
“We are glad that we can share this technology with players now (in NMS),” said Sean Murray.
Light No Fire is currently the fourth most frequently wishlisted game on Steam, suggesting a perhaps huge success.
