Bouchard’s journey with Bumbolina Studio is rooted in personal and professional growth. Having lived in Sault Ste. Marie for 34 years and operated a successful hair salon for 14, she flipped a risk into a reality. In 2020, she opened Bumbolina Studio, a community center for herself and her team to provide expert beauty services.
“I wanted to create a one-stop shop for beauty and bridal support in our community,” Bouchard explains. This vision is now expanding through her involvement in SPACES.
Leveraging SPACES for Community Building
Recognizing the potential of SPACES as Sault Ste. Marie’s digital town square, the SooToday SPACES team invited Bouchard to host the Beauty & Brides space. This platform integrates seamlessly with her existing efforts, offering a broader reach and empowering women to discover their unique beauty.
“I aim to form positive connections and success stories within our community,” Bouchard says. She envisions SPACES as a space that encourages local support, sharing beauty hacks, and hosting events.
Collaborative Approach with Honest Reviews
Bouchard is not only a beauty professional but also a brand educator. Her goal is to provide honest reviews of products, helping women make informed decisions about what works and what doesn’t. She plans to highlight product experiences from her and her clients, offering value-based insights.
“We want to educate and support brides, so they can focus on what matters most – their special day,” she says. This commitment to honesty and community-building sets Bouchard apart as a leader in the bridal industry.
Expanding Horizons with Wellness
While beauty remains at the core of Bouchard’s efforts, she has her sights set on adding a wellness element to the Beauty & Brides space. Bridal wellness is part of feeling one’s best, and she hopes to integrate this holistic approach in the future.
“We’ll see where this journey takes us,” she reflects. “But for now, our beauty and wedding planning content is fulfilling a significant need in our community.”

One of Bouchard’s most significant contributions to SPACES is her emphasis on local businesses. She frequently shares resources and shout-outs to suppliers within the Sault Ste. Marie area, fostering a supportive and interconnected community.
“Our community has so much to offer, and why go elsewhere when we have such talented vendors?” she asks. This philosophy not only benefits brides but also strengthens the local economy.
