The criminal court in Antwerp has not yet made a verdict against star chef Nick Bril on Tuesday.
Two years ago, Bril ran over his assistant cook several times in the parking lot in front of his restaurant “The Jane” in Antwerp. He then fled the scene of the accident without calling the police or emergency services. The assistant cook suffered serious injuries.
Bril was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. Currently, only his alcohol level two hours after the accident is known. At the order of the court, an expert is now supposed to calculate how high the alcohol content in the defendant’s blood was at the time of the crime. The hearing will continue on March 2nd.
