New Year’s Eve: Music, Fires & Festive Fun

TO Fano it will be a crescendo of events from today to Wednesday 31 December with the highlight of the New Year’s Eve party in Piazza XX Settembre together with Radio Studio Più. On the longest night of the year Fano will be ready to welcome 2026 with a double musical event in the heart of the city. In Piazza XX Settembre, under the tree, the DJ set curated by Radio Studio Più – with vocalist Walter Massa and DJ Mauro Gagliardini – will be the beating heart of the party until the midnight countdown. First, at 10pm, in front of the Teatro della Fortuna, the concert by the young Fano singer-songwriter Asia Antonietti, an emerging Italian pop talent capable of exciting with profound lyrics and an authentic voice. And again, at the Pincio, close to the Arco d’Augusto, from 5pm music and conviviality will intertwine with DJ sets by Ballaro and Vampa, a live performance by Catch the Giant and a food area always open: from dinner on reservation (3920820114) for the shows that will go on until late at night.

To close the celebrations, one pet friendly fireworks showor animal-friendly, symbol of an innovative choice that confirms Fano among the pioneer municipalities of low-noise lighting events. These are less noisy fireworks than traditional fireworks, but equally spectacular from a visual point of view. “A New Year’s Eve – comments the Municipality – which combines fun, respect for the environment and attention to animals. During these holidays Fano presented itself as a widespread stage, with spaces for meeting and sharing, including concerts live performances, artistic installations and events for all ages”.

Meanwhile, before New Year’s Eve, and after the strictly Christmas events of 24, 25 and 26 December, tomorrow in Piazza XX Settembre it will be the turn of the ice sculptures. “At 3.30pm – explain the organizers – blows of chisels and electric tools will transform the blocks of ice into transparent works of art to enchant adults and children”. For those who love nativity scenes, you can still visit the nativity scene of San Marco, in the cellars of Palazzo Fabbri (until Epiphany every day from 9.30am to 12pm and from 3pm to 7pm), that of the master wagon drivers made in papier-mâché in the former Church of San Francesco and the Nativity scenes of the citizens of Fano to be discovered by following the suggestions of “Le vie dei nativity scenes” on Facebook and Instagram. “Spectacular lights and projections – continue the organizers – will continue to animate, every day, the Arco d’Augusto and the main squares of the historic center from 4.30 pm until after midnight. At the Pincio the craft markets and the ice rink will remain protagonists, together with activities and workshops for children in Piazza Costanzi”. There will be no shortage of cultural offerings with “Fano Sotterranea” scheduled today and December 30th at 5.30pm by Archeoclub.
