During the summer of 2026, tourist trains will once again travel through Chile with a renewed schedule that incorporates new routes, greater frequency of trips and experiences designed for different audiences. The initiative seeks to consolidate the railway as a sustainable tourist transportation alternative during the summer season.

EFE Trenes de Chile presented a special offer that combines wine tourism tours, strengthening of heritage routes and reinforcement of regular services in various regions of the country, connecting destinations from the north to the south.

Eric Martin, president of EFE, highlighted that “this summer programming reflects EFE’s commitment to bringing the train closer to people. These routes that allow us to connect Santiago with Temuco again or expand the offer on Saturdays in Puerto Montt are great milestones and not only connect cities, but also promotes tourism, local development and a more sustainable way of traveling, from the north to the south of Chile.”
