Former trade union leader Dumitru Coarnă, elected deputy on the SOS lists, announced the establishment of the Alternative Force for Romania (FAR). According to him, the new party will be a center-right formation that will promote Christian-democratic and conservative values, patriotism, sovereignty and national unity.
The main objective of Far is to rebuild the confidence between citizens and state through pragmatic policies, economic development, solid infrastructure and the protection of the traditional family, Dumitru Coarnă said.
“We made the decision, together with the founding members of Far, to create the alternative we need in Romania, starting from scratch, with a well-defined program and with country projects that bring that change that many Romanians want. So God help us!”, Said President Far, according to Mediafax.
Coarnă also said that the new party will support the fundamental rights of citizens, equal opportunities, access to education and housing, as well as a sustainable economic development. It will also promote an open, Christian society, in which moral values and religion contribute to the right decisions.
The new president of Far resigned in March from the SOS parliamentary group, criticizing Diana Şoșoaca‘s attitude, respectively “the insults and curses” that she addressed to the sovereign electorate. In the past legislature, Dumitru Coarnă was part of both the PSD and gold parliamentary group. Both parties decided to exclude it.
