The Nevada football team will travel to face the Mountain West’s newest member this fall.
The Mountain West announced the updated 2026 football schedule grid Tuesday, which features Nevada making a visit to Fargo to take on North Dakota State.
The game against the Bison replaces the Wolf Pack’s originally scheduled road game at Wyoming. The other home and away assignments for the Wolf Pack remain unchanged from the original announcement in December. Nevada will still host Air Force, Hawai’i, New Mexico and San José State, and will still play on the road at NIU, UTEP and UNLV.
The Pack’s trip to Fargo will mark its first-ever meeting against North Dakota State.
Dates for the 2026 Mountain West contests will be announced later.
Hawai’i and New Mexico are among three 2025 bowl teams the Pack will face, along with the defending FCS champion coming to Reno in the fall. Last season’s New Orleans Bowl champion, Western Kentucky, visits for the Pack’s season opener on Saturday, Sept. 5, with 2025 FCS National Champion Montana State coming to Mackay Stadium the following Saturday, Sept. 12.
Nevada begins its spring practice season under third-year head coach Jeff Choate on Monday, March 9, with the schedule concluding Friday, April 10.
