The Global Fund for a New Economy (GFNE) was founded in 2024 to support the transition toward an economic system that centres people, protects the planet, and strengthens democratic governance. GFNE partners with leaders and organisations worldwide, providing catalytic funding, strategic partnerships, and operational infrastructure to advance economic justice, climate action, and democratic resilience.
GFNE operates as a remote-first, globally distributed organisation with programmatic priorities across Brazil, India, South Africa, Kenya, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Mexico, and Indonesia. The organisation values asynchronous collaboration, clarity of communication, and self-directed work within a high-performing, mission-driven team.
Purpose of the Role
GFNE is seeking an experienced Network Operations and Partnerships Coordinator to manage the day-to-day coordination, systems, and operational support that enable its global partner network to function effectively.
The role supports a growing network of partner organisations, consultants, and affiliated groups working across economic justice, democracy, and climate. This position serves as the operational anchor for the network, ensuring smooth collaboration through strong coordination, logistics, workflows, documentation, and follow-up. Approximately 70 percent of the role supports the Communications team and 30 percent supports the Advocacy and Organising team.
Success in this role will be reflected in strong partner relationships, effective internal systems, well-run meetings and convenings, and GFNE’s ability to track and respond to partners’ evolving needs.

- Respond to partner inquiries and triage requests to appropriate internal team members
- Support partner onboarding and maintain accurate CRM and tracking systems

- Support onboarding processes, systems development, and internal infrastructure
- Identify partner support needs and connect them to tools, documentation, or consultants
- Proactively address barriers related to workflows, communication, or information sharing
Meeting Logistics and Event Execution
- Schedule internal and external meetings across global time zones
- Track recurring network engagements and learning exchanges
- Lead planning and execution of annual, week-long network learning retreats
- Own meeting preparation, agenda development, note-taking, and follow-up actions
- Facilitate meetings between GFNE teams and partner organisations
Contracts and Grant Support
- Track contracts, scopes of work, deliverables, and timelines
- Manage grant-related documentation and track disbursements
- Coordinate review and signature processes with internal and external stakeholders
- Support payment, reimbursement, and onboarding processes
Tools, Systems, and Documentation
- Maintain up-to-date records of consultants, partnerships, and network contacts
- Manage shared tools including Google Drive, Notion, and Asana
- Build and maintain simple, reliable systems for tracking tasks and deliverables
Consultant and Partner Support
- Lead onboarding for new consultants and network partners
- Monitor timelines, deliverables, and follow-through
- Identify training or capacity needs and source appropriate support
- Ensure network cohesion while tailoring support to partners at different stages of development
Profile and Experience
Required Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in operations, coordination, or project management roles
- Proven ability to manage workflows, logistics, and systems across distributed teams
- Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders or organisations
- Strong relationship management and trust-building skills
