Netiquette in Wiesloch: Online Etiquette Guide

by drbyos

The Wiesloch city administration operates on several social media channels on which our followers can leave comments. We have put together this netiquette for this purpose.

Netiquette, comment function

We ask that a respectful tone be maintained on our Facebook and Instagram pages – which has worked well for many years. Thank you for that!
In short, please treat other users with your comments the way you would like to be treated yourself. Everyone has the right to their own opinion – as long as it does not violate applicable law or is worded inappropriately. Each user is responsible for the contributions he/she publishes.

The admins reserve the right to delete posts that violate netiquette. If commenters repeatedly or particularly fail to comply, we will block them.

In particular, the following are not permitted:

  • Insults, discrimination and slander against people or groups of people
  • Threats and incitements to hatred and violence
  • Publishing off-topic comments as well as those that only use our original post as an opportunity to draw attention to other topics.
  • Untrue claims and posts that cannot be verified in the short term
  • Publication of private data and private correspondence, violation of third party rights
  • Misuse of the comment function as advertising space for websites, services or interest groups. Calls for campaigns and rallies.
In short: links to external content.
  • “Rumblings” from anonymous commenters
