This morning, the Israeli army issued a new warning to residents of the villages of southern Lebanon located south of the Zahrani River, to move towards the areas north of the river.
Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee had previously published this warning earlier in mid-March.
This warning imposes a widespread evacuation of the villages in the south and exceeds the borders of the Litani River that Israel previously defined, which is about 30 km away from the southern border.
With the Israeli army imposing the evacuation of the areas between the Litani and Zahrani rivers, media outlets estimated that the area that has been requested to be evacuated so far in the south is no less than 10 percent of Lebanon’s area.
At night, the Israeli army issued a warning to evacuate six new villages in the Western Bekaa: Zalaya, Labaya, Yahmar, Sahmar, Qalaya, and Delafi. Which prompted the residents of these villages to flee at night in the rain.
