Cinema actress Neşe Aksoy (68), who died in the hospital where she was treated for lung cancer in Izmir, was sent off on her final journey.
Neşe Aksoy, one of the Yeşilçam actors, who was learned to have been treated for lung cancer in a private hospital in Izmir, died yesterday morning. The death of Aksoy, who starred in many Yeşilçam films, caused sadness in the cinema community.
A funeral ceremony was held for Neşe Aksoy today at noon in Izmir, Mavişehir Memur Kardeşler Mosque.

His daughter Elif Doğru, son-in-law Emek Can Doğru, nephews Alper and Tolga Dal, ex-wife Şükrü Ediz, friends and citizens attended the ceremony. After the prayer, Aksoy’s body was buried in Örnekköy Cemetery.

WHO IS NEŞE AKSOY?
Neşe Aksoy, who was born in Istanbul in 1966, graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mathematical Engineering. Aksoy took part in the productions ‘Girls Class is Competing’ and ‘Lodos Zühtü’. Aksoy, who is also known for the movie ‘My Friend’ starring Tarık Akan and Fikret Hakan, in addition to his film acting, also studied painting in England and held many exhibitions.
