As fluctuations in the balance between consumption and production constantly change over the course of a day, dynamic pricing varies from quarter hour to quarter hour. Wind generation in particular can vary enormously from one moment to the next.
To benefit from it, it is essential to be equipped with a “smart meter” which allows you to record your consumption/production in real time. And no longer benefit from the “counter running backwards”, which follows a different logic. You must also subscribe to a “dynamic” type offer from one of the suppliers who offer it in your region (not all operators offer it in Wallonia yet).
This offer is interesting if you can easily program your consumption with energy-intensive devices. This is typically the case if you are recharging an electric car or household batteries, for example.
