Near-Death Experience: Lucky to Be Alive

by Archynetys Entertainment Desk

In addition to being behind several hits, Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, has been seen on the screen in “A Star Is Born” and “House of Gucci.”

The first-mentioned film in particular was a great international success, and was bestowed with prizes such as an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the song “Shallow”.

Now, however, the “Born This Way” singer makes a surprising revelation from the recording.

Ended up in hospital

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Germanotta says that she was under the influence of pills during the filming.

– I made “A Star Is Born” on lithium, she tells the magazine.

Lithium is a medication with a mood-stabilizing effect, and is used preventively in mania and bipolar disorder, according to the NHI.

Just after the recording in 2017, the stage was set for a tour for the star. Then she had a mental breakdown, she says.

– There was a day when I ended up in hospital, to get help with my psyche. I needed a break. I couldn’t do anything. I completely collapsed. It was really scary.

Stjerna says that she smoked “three packs of cigarettes a day, sat on the terrace all day and drank bottles of wine until she passed out”.

– I feel very lucky to be alive. I know that’s dramatic to say, but we know how it can go.

Engaged

Lady Gaga has dominated the charts for years with songs such as “Poker Face”, “Just Dance”, “Bad Romance” and “Abracadabra”.

At the same time, the 39-year-old has impressed in films such as “A Star Is Born”, “House of Gucci”, “Joker: Folie à Deux” and the series “American Horror Story”.
