When the show finally starts, at 9:10 p.m., the reception is frosty. To the question “How are you?” launched by the comedian, the room responded with a massive “no”, accompanied by new boos. A context all the more tense as Nawell Madani is still splashed by a controversy: in October, she was criticized for having hit a six-year-old child who came to approach her and her dog for a photo, a gesture that she claims to have made by reflex.
According to L’Ardennais, the first part, provided by Rhym Dousty, explained the reasons for this exceptional delay: the lighting engineer was seriously injured, hit in the shoulder by a bar, and the scientific police had to intervene. The team even considered canceling the performance. “But when we saw the crowd outside, Nawell said we couldn’t cancel,” said the comedian, who ultimately provided the lighting herself.
