The future of NASCAR has drastically changed after the trial with 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. NASCAR will have “permanent” charters for organizations moving forward, as announced by Jeffrey Kessler. This change comes after NASCAR and 23XI Racing/Front Row Motorsports reached a settlement to end the lawsuit and trial.
Instead of a seven-year agreement, NASCAR organizations will have charters without an expiration date moving forward. This doesn’t mean charters can’t be taken away, but NASCAR and its teams won’t have to worry about the possibility of charters being taken away in the future.
23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports entered the lawsuit hoping to provide significant changes to the sport, and permanent charters are the biggest victory. NASCAR will no longer have a running clock on the charters, making the organizational values rise across the Cup Series immediately.
