Manchester United legend Nani has urged fellow icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney to publicly support the club amid its revival under Ruben Amorim.
The former winger stressed that the Red Devils need the backing of their biggest names as they navigate a crucial period in modern club history.

After a disastrous 2024/25 season, which saw United finish 15th in the Premier League and exit Europe early, Amorim’s side is finally finding form and Nani believes encouragement from club legends could further strengthen the team’s ongoing rebuild.
“Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney continue to be very important figures for Man Utd. They still inspire players at the club and the club needs the support at the moment,” the former Portugal international said.
“Having players like those two in the future will be very difficult, but it’s great whenever they are asked about the club and they give their advice and their support.
“We all need to encourage the players, the manager and the fans to continue to believe we can turn everything around and be the club everyone used to see in the past.”
