The evaluation, conducted in collaboration with the Honorary Public Sanitation Supervisory Centre, aims to elevate hygiene standards across the district. This program is mandated annually under the public Sanitation Management Act, ensuring consistent oversight and improvement.

Comprehensive Evaluation Criteria: A Deep dive into Hygiene Practices

The evaluation process encompasses a thorough assessment across 22 to 25 key areas,categorized into three main sections. These include:

  • General Current Status and Compliance: Verification of adherence to hygiene management standards and operator compliance as stipulated by the Public Sanitation Management Act.
  • Hygiene Management Standards: Detailed inspection of disinfection protocols and overall cleanliness.
  • Recommendations for Improvement: Suggestions for enhancing facility environment,customer safety,and service quality.

this multi-faceted approach ensures a holistic view of each business’s hygiene practices,identifying areas of strength and opportunities for enhancement.

Grading System: Recognizing and Rewarding Excellence

Businesses are categorized based on their evaluation scores, with clear distinctions for performance levels:

  • Green Grade (Best Class): Awarded to businesses scoring 90 points or higher, signifying remarkable hygiene standards.
  • Excellent Businesses: Given to establishments achieving scores between 80 and 90 points, indicating strong performance.
  • White Rating: Assigned to businesses with scores below 80 points, signaling a need for improvement.

The district plans to spotlight the “The Best” business among the Green Grade recipients. This recognition includes awarding a designated board and actively promoting the business through the district’s homepage and social media channels, incentivizing excellence and providing a competitive edge.
