Ann is the first Vietnamese virtual singer, having debuted in 2023. MTV, on the other hand, is one of the few male groups that has remained active until today. The collaboration between virtual singer Ann and the group MTV in the music video “I Already Have a Father” arouses great interest among the public.
Members of MTV said the decision to merge stemmed from seeing an increasingly obvious intersection between music, technology and popular culture.

“When choosing this project, we also had many concerns that if not handled carefully, it could have both positive and negative impacts on MTV’s image and Ann’s long-term career. However, after learning more about Ann and her development, it is clear that this was a true process of personal development and learning. »
“This project was developed with extreme meticulousness, from the music to the lyrics to the arrangement and mixing, following a traditional production process, rather than simply using AI to create a song ‘suddenly’. This is the main reason why MTV decided to embark on this project,” confided singer Anh Tuan, member of MTV.
It is a pop song with a positive and comforting message about the father-son relationship. The clip was entirely shot in the studio and processed with special effects. Vocalist Thien Vuong said that what surprised the group the most during their collaboration with the virtual singer was the possibility of creating a strong emotional connection with the creative team.
“MTV collaborated with a singer who we don’t see in everyday life, but the authenticity is there thanks to her voice and the image that director Bobo Dang created for Ann. To say that Ann is a real person is also justified, because her emotions, her singing and her acting are all the work of a human being,” Thien Vuong shared.

In a context where a growing number of music products use AI to varying degrees, the team behind Ann said they are not moving towards creating “automated” music, but rather building a virtual artist with a long-term vision, with direct human involvement in all creative stages, from music to visuals to storytelling.
