A little over a year ago, Mpox, formerly called monkeypox, was declared a public health emergency of continental concern, then of international concern.

A little over a year later, significant progress in the fight against this infectious viral disease has been made. However, many major obstacles persist: like the stigmatization of patients and access to the vaccine.
