The Ethics Action Movement, on the conservative right, is preparing to move forward with a proposal in Portugal to create the status of “housewife women”. The idea is to approve a legal and fiscal status for women who left their jobs to take care of their children.

The proposal is put forward by this movement to which some of the authors of the book “Identity and Family”, which was presented this week by Pedro Passos Coelho, belong.
The authors of this proposal consider that the status of “housewife” is exclusive to women.
