During the discussion of the reservations to the opinion of the Federation Expenditure Budget (PEF) 2026the official and opposition deputies confronted each other, for the second day, over the budget cut to Security.

Yesterday, when the PEF was approved in general, opposition deputies lied, from the stands, to the ruling party legislators. And today, the insults continued.

At the beginning of the session, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Kenia López Rabadánasked the legislators to respect the speakers during the presentation of their reservations.

“If you are so kind, we can respect all the deputies and as much as possible, just as we respect a coordinator, we can respect everyone. It will be a long and very important day for Mexico,” he asked.

However, the deputy Monica Álvarez (Morena) reproached the deputies of the PAN and of PRI for putting up “bloody” hats and electronic candles, in memory of the murdered municipal president of Uruapan, Carlos Manzoand to request more resources in the PEF for Security.

“And I do it with the conviction of true debate, not with arguments or with shouts and hats,” said the Morenoist deputy, which produced complaints from opposition deputies.

In his turn, the deputy Jose Manuel Hinojosa (PAN) demanded that resources not be allocated for Plan Michoacanpresented by the president Claudia Sheinbaum to contain insecurity in said entity, after the murder of Carlos Mazno.

“How can I believe that they presented an important Michoacán plan and at such a delicate moment and they did not assign a single peso to it,” he said.

The deputy Arturo Avila (Morena) stated that opposition legislators demanded that more resources be allocated to security to “profit from the tragedy, to take political advantage of the tragedy.”

“This opposition that we have, unfortunately, is 99% a terribly scavenger opposition. They say that this Budget is centralist, that it concentrates on National Palacewhich puts the country in debt, but what really bothers them is that this Budget is not made for those at the top, for those that you protected,” he assured.

The statements of the Morenista, and that they were supported by the PT bench, provoked the complaint of the ORI coordinator, Ruben Moreirawho called him a “joint” when he was interrupted in his speech.

“There is no matter for discussion because we are faced with this sequence of raising reserves, which are not reserves and are a simple media discourse. First, shut up, stoner, because you are a stoner,” he said.
