In a landmark event commemorating the millennium of the Montserrat Monastery’s founding, the Palau de la Música Catalana will host an unusual concert. Under the direction of Juan de la Rubia at the organ, with the participation of the Montserrat music chapel, the concert transcends the purely auditory, evolving into a multi-sensory experience. The performance will be enhanced by projections of works by Sean Scully, a leading figure in contemporary abstraction with a deep connection to Montserrat. Scully’s visual compositions, currently featured in an exhibition at La Pedrera, will be projected onto the stage, serving as a visual extension of the music.
