Several manufacturers have adjusted launch timing. The Xiaomi 17 series came out in China in September. A month earlier than when the Xiaomi 14 series made its debut last year. Xiaomi 14 Ultra then joined the rest of the series for global launch in February 2025. We have been waiting for smart glasses for quite some time and I even bought Meta’s glasses before they were available to buy in Sweden. Not that they are very smart in practice. A couple of different types of smart glasses are coming in the next year and those who have already developed an Android app can use the same code in the glasses. For better or worse perhaps? This means that the number of apps will be large, but will they be useful. Uber’s glasses app, which was nevertheless highlighted as an example, seemed completely pointless. It would be easy to find your car outside the airport, the developers said. Then it uses what you see in the glasses, I thought, and guides with a layer of arrows over reality, but no, nothing.
