Despite “all the efforts that have been made […]: the police, the cameras in the water, the use of two boats, the divers, the searches yielded nothing,” confirmed agent Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), on Sunday.

The police authorities are now determining the continuation of the search operations, which could resume next week, in particular by monitoring the banks and using a drone.
Remember that last Thursday, March 26, around 3 p.m., Hassoun Choui, an 18-year-old student from Cégep Gérald-Godin, and another 17-year-old student ventured onto a patch of ice which, when it gave way, dragged them both into the freezing water.
The young miner managed to return to the shore, while his friend still cannot be found.
