Former Miss Brittany, Charline Leray, Dies at 38

Charline Leray, who competed in Miss France 2007, passed away leaving behind a young son.

The world of beauty pageants is mourning the loss of Charline Leray, a former Miss Brittany who competed in the Miss France 2007 competition. She was 38 years old.

Charline Leray was crowned Miss Brittany in 2006. The following year, she represented her region in the national Miss France competition, ultimately won by Rachel Legrain-Trapani.Leray did not place in the top 12.

The Miss France institution shared a tribute on Instagram, writng, “She embodied joy and her legendary positivity to have accompanied her throughout her fight against the disease. Our thoughts go to all his family,friends and his little boy.”

Cindy Fabre, who leads the Miss France competition, also shared a message: “Our cha-chas, our Christmas lover. We cry deeply. You were one of those who leave a trace, by your laughter, your light, your contagious joy”.

After her time with Miss France, Charline Leray worked as a protocol hostess for the Tour de France for several years. Later, she became a school teacher in the Châteaubriant region.

Originally from Lusanger in Loire-Atlantique, Charline Leray passed away in Mandelieu-la-Napoule in the Alpes-Maritimes region. Her cremation is scheduled for this Wednesday in Allaire in Morbihan. She is survived by her son, Gabin, and her partner, Kévin bajeux.
