Certificate of miscarriage
From January 1, 2026, the medical certificate of a miscarriage will be made on the changed Form 9. This has so far only been used in the case of premature births or a disability of the child. Practices should order new forms in good time, as the current Form 9 is only valid until December 31st. The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians points this out. If women suffer a miscarriage from the 13th week of pregnancy, they have been entitled to maternity benefit since June 1st of this year. In order to provide health insurance companies and employers with proof of a miscarriage, the KBV and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds had agreed on a transition certificate. Severely mentally ill children
Six months after the start of complex outpatient care for severely mentally ill children and adolescents, more than 100 practices are already taking part in the care program. The National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) now has a new information sheet in the “At a glance” series about the complex care process, which shows the treatment process. Complex care specifically for children and young people with serious mental illnesses is a care program in which a multi-professional team is formed for each patient and works closely together. It started on April 1st of this year, after the offer for adults with serious mental illnesses was introduced in October 2022.
