Dr. Renata Pulcha Ugarte, 32, revealed the attack she suffered from businessman Manuel Acuña Forno. The attack occurred after the victim complained to him for invading the pedestrian path at the intersection of Bolognesi and Tripoli streets, in Miraflores, while she was crossing the track. After the complaint was made public, the company PC Corporación dismissed him from his work.
The young woman, who originally lives in Austria, had returned to Peru for a brief season to spend vacations with her family.

Doctor reported attack by manager of PC Corporación in Miraflores
Surveillance cameras recorded that the incident occurred in the afternoon, while the victim was walking down the street. According to the images broadcast by América Noticias, the young woman was trying to cross the avenue when Acuña moved forward in her vehicle without stopping, even though the doctor was in the middle of the road.
Given this, the woman hit the car as a sign of complaint for the invasion of the pedestrian crossing and continued on her way, without imagining that the subject would end up attacking her.
“I was in complete shock, I didn’t know what was happening. He thought I was at fault, and he probably didn’t even see that I was trying to cross the street and that he almost ran me over,” said Renata Pulcha.

The images showed that the aggressor quickly approached her and, taking advantage of the fact that her back was turned, he gave her a strong kick that made her stumble. Faced with the attack, Dr. Pulcha Ugarte began to record Acuña to have evidence of the crime he had committed, but he tried to snatch her cell phone while screaming.
“I don’t have to stay silent, I have every right to speak and above all because it makes me angry that there are people who behave like this and there are victims who can’t do anything and that’s why I’m speaking,” declared the health professional.
Through a letter, Acuña Forno admitted the attack, alleging that he acted under a ‘fright’. Despite the apologies offered, the executive stated that he did not consider himself a violent person. For her part, the victim rejected the arguments and described the attack as a clear act of “machismo and abuse of power.”
PC Corporación fires Manuel Acuña Forno after a complaint of assault
In a statement published on Wednesday, January 14, the company PC Corporación made effective the dismissal of businessman Manuel Acuña Forno, who was an executive of the institution, after an extraordinary session called only to address the unacceptable aggression he perpetrated against Dr. Pulcha. Likewise, they remove him from all positions, functions and responsibilities in the business management of the company.
“The board of directors of APC registers its categorical rejection and indignation at the unacceptable conduct of Mr. Acuña Forno against the physical integrity of a woman,” the company said.
