Mios Grassland Operation: Apply Now

The municipality of Mios is opening a call for applications for the provision, in the form of a lease, of a set of four municipal plots intended for agricultural activity. These lands, located in zone A in the Local Urban Plan, represent a total area of approximately 11 hectares.

Details of the plots concerned:

• Section D n°773 – Lieu-dit Caudos Nord: 3 ha 55 to 2 approx
• Section D n°930 – Locality Les Landes: 3 ha 37 to 61 ca
• Section D n°1047 – Lieu-dit Bertonnesse: 46 to 32 ca
• Section D n°1048 – Lieu-dit Bertonnesse: 3 ha 84 to 24 ca

Several objectives:

• preserve these lands for grazing or market gardening purposes (under agricultural activity),
• support extensive local agriculture,
• support the establishment of young farmers,
• promote the sustainability of local agricultural activities.

Commitments expected from candidates

Project leaders must respect the following environmental constraints:

• no drainage of the land,
• no major crops (cereals, oilseeds, protein crops),
• no plowing (except market gardening project),
• no planting of trees, horticultural or exotic species,
• obligatory annual maintenance to avoid enrichment,
• annual pruning of hedges,
• maintenance and repair of fences at the tenant’s expense,
• prohibition of subletting.

Applications open until November 20, 2025

• their agricultural project,
• and the interest of their application.
