The recent visit of Esteban Lazo Hernández, president of the Cuban National Assembly, to Kenya is being the subject of controversy among people linked to work with the Cuban State.

However, a fully credible source close to Cubans for the World, the same one who revealed exclusive details about Lazo’s trip to Kenya, have denied this version, stating that Esteban Lazo’s stay in that African territory was merely symbolic and of very short duration.
According to this source, he stated in a telephone call to Cubanos por el Mundo, where he was visibly upset, the MINREX statement is “a dick” y “a morronga”.

There is a development on the huge “value added services” scam the first traces of which date back to 2018. The first tranche of investigations involved WindTre subscribers, this second those of TIM; in the last few hours the Guardia di Finanza issued a seizure warrant for almost 322 million euros belonging to five European companies (with offices in Italy and Spain) which provided the so-called “VAS” (from the English Value-Added Service) – those delicious services that send ringtones, horoscopes, news and many other contents of questionable quality in exchange for a rather high monthly or weekly subscription, which in most cases the user had not consciously requested.
There are a total of 20 suspects in this second round of investigations, some of whom were TIM employees at the time of the events. 250 million of the seized euros were frozen in TIMwhich however is not investigated (although this does not mean that things will not change as the matter evolves).
According to the investigations, the trap was very dangerous, and in the peak period of activity, between 2017 and 2020, it led to approximately 30-40,000 unwanted activations of monthly or weekly subscriptions per day.

High Commissioner, said the bill broadens the scope of criminal sanctions against lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people simply for being who they are, and threatens criminal penalties against those perceived as their allies.
“Consensual same-sex conduct should never be criminalized … The bill, if it becomes law, will be corrosive, and will have a negative impact on society as a whole,” she said.

Attempts to hire a hearse to take the body of Alexey Navalny’s body to his funeral have been obstructed by unidentified individuals, according to the Russian opposition leader’s team. Spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh claimed that drivers had been contacted by unknown people who threatened not to transport the body. She further stated that no hearse agreed to take the body there.
Navalny’s team also faced difficulties in finding a venue for his funeral, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. local time (6 a.m. ET) on Friday at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God in Moscow’s Maryino district, where Navalny resided. The burial will follow at Borisov Cemetery.
“Many venues claimed they were busy or refused when Navalny’s name was mentioned, while one explicitly stated they were forbidden from working with Navalny’s team,” said Yarmysh on Tuesday.
