In May, a woman sued artist Billy Ray Cyrus with claims that she is Miley Cyrus’ biological mother, reports Page Six.
In the lawsuit, the woman claims that she gave birth to Miley when she herself was only 12 years old. This is shown by court documents which the Daily Mail has been given access to, writes Page Six.
She further alleged that she entered into a private adoption agreement with Billy Ray and Miley’s mother, Tish Cyrus (58).
Billy Ray Cyrus came out hard against the accusations in a lawsuit, but on Friday the country artist’s lawsuit was dismissed.
Claims to have given birth to the star as a child
According to the woman, the agreement with the Cyrus couple meant that she could name Miley and work as her nanny and piano teacher. She accused the Cyrus family of breach of contract, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The woman also alleged that Billy Ray and Tish cut off all contact with her after Miley was born, and threatened her with a police report, writes Page Six.
The woman demanded DNA testing of both Miley and her parents. She also wanted the legality of the alleged adoption to be re-evaluated based on any test results. A judge denied her request for a trial in October.
Billy Ray Cyrus countersued in November, asking that all claims be dismissed. The 64-year-old country artist claimed that the woman had sued only to harass him and his family.

According to Page Six, the lawsuit was finally dismissed by the court on December 5. Billy Ray’s lawyer confirmed to the Daily Mail that the case was dismissed and that Cyrus was awarded her legal fees.
Separate teams
Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus have three children together: Miley, Braison (31) and Noah (25). Billy Ray also adopted Tish’s two children from a previous marriage, Brandi (38) and Trace (36).

The couple separated in 2022 after almost 28 years of marriage.
