The web app for exporting your Skype data is only available in English, but it is quite easy to use. You need to sign in with your Microsoft account, then you can choose what you want to export.
You can choose from chats stored in Skype and shared data. Just check off what you want to secure. Then all you need to do is click on “Submit Request”.
Microsoft will now put together a download package for you with your Skype data. How long does that take? Differently, Microsoft states that it may take a while to download.
Check back on the page a few hours later or the next day and you should see a download link.
- Exported messages include Skype and SMS messages, surveys, scheduled calls, maps and location sharing.
- Exported media includes shared files, images, videos, video messages, voicemails, and call recordings.
