Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will officially arrive on Nintendo Switch e Switch 2 tomorrow, but in the meantime Nintendo has already published the usual day one patch, the version 1.1.0.
The update is not essential to start playing, but it still introduces a series of important changes and fixes, including new ones amiibo features and a higher difficulty balance.
Update changes
According to the official notes released on Nintendo’s Japanese website, the patch allows you to use amiibo through a dedicated section in the pause menu, adds the controller vibration during cinematic sequences and, if you play the original Switch version on Switch 2, it introduces an option on the main screen that allows you to upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by taking you directly to the eShop.

Version 1.1.0 also changes the conditions for unlocking some videos in the gallerywhich now simply require you to complete the game and no longer reach a 100% item drop rate. Interventions were also made on balancing some enemies in Hard mode. Finally, the notes speak of “further changes and fixes to improve the gaming experience”, without however providing specific details.
