The 19th Korea Medical Tournament, centered on the theme of ‘EUDURING HOPE,’ commenced at the Saemunan Church (Pastor Lee sang -hak) on June 5th, drawing participants from various medical and missionary backgrounds.

The Korea Medical Missions Conference, organized by the Korean Christian Medical Mission Association (Chairman Park Jun -beom), has been a biennial event since its inception in 1989.

This yearS conference saw the attendance of over 950 individuals, representing 84 medical missions affiliated with the association. Attendees included doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, clinical pathologists, radiologists, physical therapists, and hospital administrators.

Chairman Park Joon -beom emphasized the conference’s focus: “The direction of medical missions currently focusing on is the individual, church, and group awakening that integrates domestic and foreign medical missions, and the human revival and devotion of missionary disciples in all classes from students to seniors.”

Pastor Lee Sang-hak, in his welcome message, referenced Mark 5: 25-34, highlighting the story of a woman healed from a 12-year-old bleeding disorder, emphasizing its meaning as an act of salvation.

The event featured a mission message from the Missionary (Pediatrics, the representative of GO Mission), a testimony from Seba Line on “Mission to Change the World,” and a prayer ensemble by P Min -Joseph Missionary (Surgical Specialist) and Missionary Kim Hyun -jung (Nurse).

Missionary shared a personal testimony: “I fell down as I was too bad when I was in school. It was as if I was alive but the dead. When I read the Bible that my friend handed it, it was when the dead heard the voice of the Son of God. The faith of the resurrection has come in.”
