The Mediatiks competition was created in 2010 by the Clemi (Center for Media and Information Education). Since then, it has established itself as a major event to enhance the media productions of students and promote media education in schools.
The Médiatiks competition aims to highlight the creativity and commitment of young people through a diversity of media supports: written press, radio, photo and video report. He thus encourages the development of school media in the diversity of their supports and thus to promote the freedom of information and expression of students.
It also aims to identify and enhance the school media in each academy, to identify needs, particularly in terms of school media training, but also to promote collaborations between the various actors concerned by the development of school media at the academic level: educational, institutional, associative and media actors.
The national phase aims to stimulate students’ participation, to enhance their expression through competitions, to offer national visibility to local projects and to make the national press aware of the challenges of the school media. It also makes it possible to encourage recognition of the vitality of school media at a wider level.
The projects were judged on rigorous criteria, including the writing qualitythe technical realizationl’originality and theeditorial identity media, as well as responsibility students in the treatment of subjects. Freedom of expression and citizen involvement of young people in their projects have also been key elements of evaluation.
This year, the winners’ list of this competition in Mayotte is made up of various projects. Here are the winners of the different categories that have received a diploma and prizes but especially the congratulations of the rector of Mayotte, Jacques Mikulovic, for their work:
