Make a large -scale newspaper by and for schoolchildren is the successful bet to The Republican East, the Lorraine Republican and Vosges Matin For ten years now. Under the aegis of the media and information education team (EMI), this year, eight primary schools divided between the Meurthe-et-Moselle, the Meuse and the Doubs lent themselves to the game. Choice of subjects, information research, interviews, sections, drawings and photos, the students were able to learn the streams of journalism, accompanied by the journalists of the EMI pole, who made a dozen sessions in the form of Day or half-day, to which was added all the time to coordinate. After writing the items, students were offered to visit the printing center located in Houdemont, to recover their newspaper, printed in 5,000 copies per number. Éric Singer, technical director of The East Republican served as a guide during these visits.
These projects could be made possible thanks to the financial support of the municipalities and metropolises concerned, as well as national education and the Ministry of Culture.
