by Archynetys Sports Desk

He Deportivo Independiente Medellin won by a 3-0 win over Cali America at the Atanasio Girardot stadium on matchday 20 of the BetPlay League and in the process achieved the sporting advantage of the so-called ‘invisible point’ after coming in first place in the ‘All against all’. The Scarlets, despite the defeat, qualified for the group of eight, reaching eighth place with 29 points.

Medellín was much superior and even the result could have been worse for América, from the start the DIM went all out and when 18 minutes were up opened the scoring with a goal from Alexis Serna.

El Poderoso always had the intention of attacking and before the first half ended increased the advantage with a goal from Brayan León. The score was a play copied from the first goal, an action that was generated from the right and in the heart of the area came the shot for Medellín’s goal.

In the second half things did not change and DIM came out with everything, Alexis Serna in the 55th minute with a tremendous shot reached the double and made what would be the final 3-0.

América achieved classification thanks to the fact that Águilas Doradas failed to beat Deportes Tolima.
