MBG Kitchen Car Incident: No Student Deaths Reported – BGN Update

The National Nutrition Agency confirmed that there were no fatalities in the free nutritional meal service or MBG car incident which crashed into a school fence and a number of students at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta, on Thursday morning, December 11 2025.

This statement dismissed the news that had circulated that two students died as a result of the incident. “Nothing. There were no deaths,” said Deputy Head of BGN, Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, when confirmed on Thursday, December 11 2025.

The incident which occurred at around 06.39 WIB injured 18 people, consisting of 17 students and one teacher. The car driven by AI, 34 years old, a resident of Kalibaru, suddenly broke through the fence and drove towards the field where the students were taking part in morning literacy activities before going to class.

The victims were immediately taken to Cilincing Regional Hospital, while several who suffered more serious injuries were referred to Koja Hospital. They include W who suffered bruises on his head and arms, MF with lacerations to his head, and K who allegedly suffered a broken arm bone. A student with the initials A is said to have suffered the most serious injuries, while a teacher, HM, was also treated.

The police have taken the MBG car driver for questioning. The vehicle involved was an MBG fleet belonging to SPPG RW 03 Kalibaru with plate number B 2093 UIU.

Previously, broadcast and video information circulated on social media regarding the incident of the MBG car which hit a number of students at SDN Kalibaru 01, Cilincing, North Jakarta. The video circulating shows the panic of students and a number of teachers after the incident.

It can be seen in the video that there are several elementary school students who are still stuck under the car. The teachers tried to save them. The students looked hysterical and some were heard crying.
